Weekend Recap - Atlanta Visit

This past weekend we traveled to Atlanta to introduce Delainey to Cora, my Aunt Linda, cousins Sam & Gillie, and Morgan's kids Kate & Mary Liz. A lot of the weekend was spent in the car, but D was a champ and didn't seem to mind too much. We arrived in Atlanta Friday night around 7 pm and enjoyed a spaghetti dinner made by Morgan & Andy. It was nice to just hang out at the house and catch up with them.

Then Saturday morning we headed down to Aunt Linda & Uncle Chris's house. We got to hang out with Cora for a little bit then we headed to watch my cousins' softball games. I can't believe they are already 16 years old. They are such sweet girls. After their game we went back to the house to hang out and have lunch. Delainey sat on the floor and played with the girls for a long time. It was so great to see Cora; D's only living great-grandparent. Hopefully we can get them down here for a visit in the near future.

All the girls
After our visit, mom and I hit up Ikea for a few items. We ended up buying another bookshelf to put in Delainey's closet for her 100s of books, an entertainment center for the TV up stairs, and all types of other goodies like candles lanterns, and placemats. I will put up some pics once David assembles the items.
After Ikea we headed back to Morgan's to watch football and eat dinner. They had the girls at their house that night so they could meet D for the first time. Mary Liz and Kate kept fighting over Delainey. It was so cute watching them play with her. I think they need a baby sister or brother in the near future don't you think Morgan? *wink wink*
This morning we got up and headed home. I was so blessed to walk into a spic and span house! David dusted, vacuumed, mopped, cleaned the microwave out, cleaned under the coach...I think I may go out of town more often! It was glorious! We had a good trip, but there is definitely no place like home. Nothing like hanging out on the couch watching TV with the family. (Or sleeping on the couch haha)

21 Weeks

We are at 21 weeks! It has been a fairly relaxing and peaceful week for Delainey and I. We have spent our mornings sleeping in till 9ish & drinking Pumpkin Chai Tea Lattes while watching Kathie Lee and Hoda. I don't know why, but I love their show. They give great fashion advice and always have the coolest new gadgets. Anyways, we started feeding Delainey 4 ounces of formula in addition to breastfeeding for her last feeding of the night. WOW what a difference a full belly makes! She has been sleeping from 10:30 pm to 7 am the past 3 nights. Hopefully this will be a permanent thing!

Today we ran some errands and hit up Babies R Us. I am so anxious and excited to start feeding D solid foods. I have a sweet Beaba babycook food processer/steamer that my Dad bought us that is ready to go with all the matching gadgets. We stocked up today on bowls, spoons that change color if the food is too hot, easy wipe bibs, a suction cup toy for the high chair (since D always throws her toys on the floor), and a box of rice cereal. I am going to wait till D turns 6 months to start doing solid foods, but lord knows we are prepared and ready to go! (1 month to go!)

We also got some fur boots for the winter! She loved them! :)

Anyways is anyone else loving that all the shows are back! I think David and I have a slight addiction to TV, just look at our DVR. On any given night we have atleast 4 or 5 shows being recorded. We have the faves back like Greys Anatomy, Private Practice, Modern Family, Hawaii 5-0, Criminal Minds, Law & Order, the Voice and the list goes on and on. As far as new shows that we have picked up, they are Guys with Kids and Revolution. David also has Vegas on the list of things to record. Not that I need more shows, but does anyone have any must see shows?!

D was clearly not interested in the shows tonight haha

So tomorrow my Mom, Delainey, & I are heading up to Atlanta to stay with my friend Morgan and visit my grandma, Cora, and my aunt and cousins. They have never met D before so we wanted to take her up their to introduce her to everyone. I am excited for D to meet her Great grandma because she is unfortunately the only Great grandparent still living. I wish my other grandparents could have met her. They would have loved her. We will be sure to take lots of pics over the weekend and be back on Sunday night with a recap of the weekend. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Weekend Recap - Heart Walk

We had a busy, but fantastic weekend! Friday afternoon we picked Lilly up from her surgery. They ended up having to take all of het teeth out so her new name is Lilly the toothless wonder! She looks pretty much the same so thats a good thing. Except today I woke up to blood all over my duvet because she knocked a blood clot out of her mouth and has been bleeding profusely all day. We ran her by the vet this evening and they said she is fine, just keep her off of nice things so she doesn't bleed on them. Hopefully it will stop soon. Anyways, Friday night, Dave, D & I enjoyed date night at Bonefish. It was nice to catch up and talk after a long week while D slept through dinner. Oh and we also got the new iphone 5's on Friday so that's exciting.
Friday D & I made mini pumpkin muffins that turned out delicious

Saturday morning Delainey & I headed down to the Heart Walk for the American Heart Association with Mom, Dad, Kelli, Ralph and his brother-in-law. We did a 5k for Team Mayo around downtown Jacksonville. It was a lot of fun and for a great cause!

After the walk we had breakfast with the fam then went home to nap and watch football. Saturday night we attended our couples supper club at Courtney & George's house. We had a Mexican feast and watched FSU whoop Clemson. The first half of the game was a little scary but they pulled it out in the end.
I love Delainey's new monogrammed FSU onesie!

Sunday we went to church and heard an awesome message! We did the usual Sunday lunch then mom & I went to get pedicures and manicures. We had dinner at the McLaughlin's to end the weekend. I told you it was busy! No big plans for this week besides gymnastics so we will be back in a few days with another post. Have a great week!

20 Weeks

Big D hit the 20 week mark this week! I can't believe we would only be at the half way point during pregnancy. I feel like she has been a part of our lives forever and can't imagine life without her. Anyways this week has been pretty standard. The usual mom-to-mom, running errands, and just hanging out around the house. I did stop working out at Timed Exercise. I really loved the workouts, but my face was breaking out so I decided I would rather be fat then have bad skin haha. In other news, Delainey has mastered rolling from her back to her stomach in both directions. She used to only go to her left, but now she has no problem going either way.
We did our weekly photo shoot and the days of her sitting still are long gone. It is such a task to get her to sit still and smile. She is so fascinated with the blocks that she is constantly trying to play with them and eat them. I think for the next 32 weeks these pictures are going to be wild!  Here's a little collage of what the pics turned into.
Yesterday I caught her sucking her thumb while taking a nap! She rarely ever sucks her thumb. I hope this is not going to become the new thing instead of a pacifier.
And lastly I did another crafting project for my friend Jessica. She just moved into a new place and I wanted to make her a house warming gift. Here's a pic of the wreath I made. Talk about so easy to do. I think I will be doing one of these for myself in the near future.
Today we are hanging at the house waiting on Lilly's vet to call me. She went to have her teeth removed since they are rotting. I told them to pull all of them (she only has 7 left), but they called and told me if we don't leave even just one her tongue will hang out of her mouth and her bottom gums will receed making her jaw look different. I told them to leave one so we will see how it goes. I hate when she is put under; it makes me so nervous. :( Hopefully everything will go well. Tomorrow D and I will be doing our first 5k for the American Heart Association and we have couple's supper club. We will post pics on Sunday. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

September Supper Club - Pizza Party

Last night we had our first Girl's supper club. I've kind of been the organizer of this deal so I hosted the first one. We decided the theme would be a pizza party where you would make your own pizza. Everything turned out great! Everyone had an assigned item to bring that coordinated with the theme. We ended up having bruschetta and mozzarella sticks for an appetizer, a salad, marinated artichokes & mushrooms, pizza, tiramisu for dessert, and plenty of wine. Everyone chose their own toppings and baked their own pizzas. We ended up sitting around the table for about 2 1/2 hours just catching up and gossiping :) We had a great night and I am so excited about this new tradition. I can't wait for October at Amanda's house to see what our next theme will be. Here are some pics from the night.

Weekend Recap

On Saturday we headed to Tally for the FSU vs. Wake football game. We left D at home with her grandmas for the night and headed over with Emily and Jessica.  It was a noon game and it was ridiculously hot so the girls went to watch the game at the bar while Dave went to the game with Kelli & Jeff. We had a great time catching up with old friends and staying at my friend Andrea's house. Andrea just bought a town home so I decided it make her a housewarming gift. I was pretty impressed with how it turned out. Thanks pinterest!
Here is a pic of Dave and his boys. They have been doing this ridiculous pose for years now.

So apparently we missed the memo that the new trend is high waisted mom jeans that are cut off so your butt hangs out. EVERY single girl in Tally was sporting this trend. I guess I'm not trendy bc this is one trend I'm going to have to pass on. :)

We got back to Jax Sunday morning early. (I was a Nazi getting everyone in the car. I couldn't wait to get home to see D even though it was only one night!) Sunday we just hung out at the house and snuggled. Here's daddy with his 2 ladies!

We don't have too much on tap for this week. A lot of hanging out at the house and cleaning since its a rainy week. We have mom to mom Wednesday and Lilly is getting the rest of her teeth pulled on Friday. (Poor dog is going to be toothless, but it's better that than to be in pain from them rotting out.) Also this Wednesday I am hosting our first Girl's Supper club at my house so that should be fun. We are doing a pizza party theme and making our own individual pizzas. I will take some pictures and post how it goes on Thursday. Here are a few pics to leave you with of Delainey hanging at the house and being silly.

19 weeks

We have had a great but busy week! I swear even though I am not working I feel like the week just flies by! On Tuesday we had gymnastics class and our friend Collins decided to join so that will be fun going to class with someone we know! Then we went shopping at the mall. Jacksonville finally got a H&M so I had to hit it up before everything sold out. Honestly, I wasn't too impressed but hopefully they will come out with some good fall items. I did get a cowl-neck sweater poncho that I can't wait to wear!

Wednesday was Mom to Mom and I loved the message. It was all about leaving a legacy and what do we as mom's want to be remembered for. It really makes you think about what is truely important in life and to not sweat the small things! Wednesday night Grammy and I hit up a bi-annual consignment sale called Weetrade! It was like shopping on black Friday but we found some great deals. We got another jumper to keep at Gammo's house, a walker, a cart cover, a life jacket to go out on the boat, lots of toys, puzzles, and clothes! David kept Delainey and sent a video while we were shopping of them playing. It is too funny not to share! haha

Thursday we ran a few errands and hung out at home to help David with our taxes. (Yes we have not filed them yet and it is starting to stress me out, but hopefully by next week they will be done.) Today we are just hanging out at the house, doing laundry, and packing for the weekend. Dave and I are heading over to Tallahassee Saturday morning for the FSU vs. Wake Forest game. It will be the first time we leave D overnight but we know she is in good hands between the 2 grandmas! Off we go to finish packing. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
D in her new walker! She goes backwards but she loves it!

Love her Gymboree romper she is in today! Too cute!

Playdate Monday!

Today was a very exciting day for Delainey. She got to meet 2 of her soon to be best friends. We started out the morning by working out at Timed Exercise. My body is finally getting used to the workouts and I am starting to walk like a normal human being again. She just watches everyone and listens to the music while I workout which is a blessing because it is hard to get up there in the evenings. Then we came home and my friend Audrey and her daughter Braelyn came over to play for a little while. Braelyn is exactly 3 months older than D. Audrey and I were pregnant at the same time while coaching volleyball so it was fun to share stories and learn from each others' experiences. I completely forgot to take a pic of Delainey and Braelyn playing together on their playmats, but we are going to start making it more of a routine so hopefully I will have a pic of them together soon.

Then we took a nice little nap then headed over to my friend Sara's house to meet baby Gannon who is only 8 days old. He is such a cutie! He's a big boy weighing in at 10 lbs but looking at him you would never guess he weighed that much. It was great to catch up with Sara and hang out for a little while. I did get a picture of them together but he was not happy at the time because he was hungry! :)

After Sara's we went to the grocery store, cleaned the house, and then I cooked dinner. I tried a new recipe from The Cheesecake Factory. It was the Madiera Chicken recipe and it was delicious and not hard to do either! Of course I added a side of noodles (instead of mashed potatoes) and put the sauce all over them as well. Here is the link to the recipe:http://www.recipesecrets.net/CheesecakeFactoryChickenMadeira.html Off we go to watch Monday night football!

Here is a pic from church yesterday I just had to share!

One more that Kel sent me from Cam's party. Haha!
