Delainey's 1st REAL gymnastics class

This past Monday we tried out our first REAL gymnastics class for Delainey. She has been going to My Gym since she was 6 months old and it has been great! I think it is a great program until your child turns 3 when they are ready to learn real gymnastics skills. There is just way to much singing, free play, down time of talking and playing games for the amount it costs. So we decided to move on and look into real gymnastics centers. The one we tried on Monday was called Starlight and it is a very reputable place. The facilities are really nice and they have competitive gymnastics through all of the levels should Delainey choose to be a professional gymnast ;)

The Monday class only has 2 kids in it even though 8 kids is considered a full class. In just one day alone Delainey learned so many new things! They worked on stretching (which she has never really done), backbends, handstands, cartwheels, vault, balancing on the beam, and holding herself up on the bars. The other little girl in her class cried through the second half of class so Delainey really got a private lesson!

As a treat for doing good, she got to go in the big gymnastics area and climb the rope and do some jumps in the foam pit. Delainey calls it the olympic area and wants to be in there ASAP.
Overall we loved the class and you can't beat having a class with only 2 kids in. We will be signing her up and let the path to the Olympics begin! HAHA! Too bad she's a giant, but maybe for a few years she will be a stellar gymnast! (Atleast until she is old enough to start playing volleyball)

Tracie & Tom's Wedding

This weekend we celebrated Tracie & Tom's wedding and all the other festivities it entailed. Thursday night we had a spray tan party at my house to get all the bridesmaids nice and tan for the wedding. Friday was the rehearsal dinner, but we missed it since Dave had to work late, and then Saturday was the wedding. I helped Tracie plan a good portion of the wedding so I was there bright and early Saturday morning to help set everything up. Man o man was it work! I feel like I was a chicken running around with my head cut off lol. It all came together very nicely though.

Delainey was the flower girl and of course loved dressing up. She was so cute, she walked down the aisle and then dumped all of the flowers at once at the end of the aisle. Haha. Here are a bunch of pictures from the wedding!

Most of the Supper Club girls!

Here are some daytime pictures so you can see the details better. Tom's mom did all of the flowers and food for the sweets table. She was awesome!!

Delainey's Fall Festival at School

This past Thursday, Delainey had her fall festival at school. The kids dressed up, played games for candy, decorated cookies,  had their faces painted, and jumped on bounce houses. D decided to be Anna for this dress up event. We have tons of dress up things to do so we are just circling through some of our dress up dresses she got over Christmas.
Delainey is in a class with 10 boys and 6 girls so she has become best buddies with 2 girls named Callie & Kinsley. Lucky for me, both of their moms are awesome so we pretty much hang out together at school functions. Here is their little trio. No surprise D is the leader of the pack and drags them around lol

This is D's friend Walker, who's Dad just so happens to be one of my friends I went to high school with. Walker's mom said he talks about her non-stop haha! So cute.

We are loving our new preschool. There is so much fun stuff to do that families get to be involved in. Not to mention everyone is so nice. We have teacher parent conferences this week so I can't wait to see what Ms. Dawn has to say about Delainey. I'll keep you all posted!

Girl's Disney Trip #1 with our Annual Passes (and Blakely's 1st time to Disney)

A few months ago I posted about how I got a wild hair and called David and told him that I wanted annual passes to Disney World for my birthday. He said ok and I hit that checkout button on the computer and it was done. I have been looking for a good time to go and it just so happened to be this past weekend. Most people say I am crazy for taking 2 kids to Disney by myself, but it really was such a blast and the girls did awesome!!
We woke up Friday morning, got dressed, ate breakfast, and were on the road by 8:30. We went straight to Magic Kingdom and off we went! I think knowing we could come back as much as we wanted this year, really helped. We took our sweet time getting out of the car, stopped to look at anything Delainey wanted to, basically just let her run the show. We did some rides, watched the parade in front of the Castle, stopped to have lunch, met Ariel and did a few more rides before calling it a day. The line for the monorail was insane so we decided why not take the ferry and do some sightseeing. We hopped on the ferry and rode over to the Grand Floridian and acted like we were staying there! lol We walked the grounds, listened to the live music and the lobby, and then hopped on the monorail from there and headed to the car.

We stayed in a hotel that night and then the next morning we went to Epcot. Delainey had never been to Epcot and I have never been during the food and wine festival so we figured why not! We did the ride in the Epcot ball, a Nemo ride, turtle talk with Crush, and watched a movie with Timon and Pumba from the Lion King. We were getting hungry so we decided to head to the world area to sample some food around the world. Only problem was it was a madhouse! Several people I talked to said it was the busiest they have ever seen the food and wine festival. We stopped at Greece, Italy, and Germany and the food was amazing! I would love to go back on a weekday night when it is not busy and much cooler and actually enjoy the food and drink some wine :) It is definitely pricey though. My 5 samples cost $28. I was stuffed after that though!! We called it quits around 3ish, but not without a Mickey Mouse ice cream for my big girl! Big mistake! I was thinking they would both crash for the car ride home. Delainey was so hyper and would not stop talking my ear off the entire 2 hour ride. Lesson learned. lol

I want to go back again soon and do Hollywood Studios, but I feel like there is so much going on I don't know when! Maybe we will do a day trip one day during the week! Our next big trip is just 3 weeks away and it's our Disney Cruise! I could just die I am so excited! Especially because Delainey doesn't know we are going and we are going to surprise her the night before with a phone call from Mickey & Minnie!
Busy week ahead with a Fall festival at D's school, a spray tan & spritzer party on Thursday night and Tracie's wedding this weekend. Hopefully I'll be back before the weekend to post some pictures!

This Past Weekends Festivities

October is here and so is the cooler weather! It is heaven! We have been doing picnics outside, going on walks, playing at the park, just soaking it in as much as possible. Delainey got sick this past week so we had lots of time snuggling and watching movies. Thank the lord Blakely didn't catch it.
Delainey did recover just in time on Friday for our Mommy/Daughter date to the Beauty & the Beast musical. It was supposed to be a daddy/daughter date, but David flew out to Texas Friday morning and bought a new truck and drove it back. Wild man!! Anyways, D dressed in her fancy dress, put on some make up and off we went.

She of course met some girl and had a blast dancing in the atrium while waiting for the doors to open.

The show was really good, but I was shocked at how long it was! It started at 8:00 pm and intermission didn't happen until 9:45. I told D it was over when the lights came on for intermission. There was no way we were going to make it till 11 pm. She did really well and it kept her attention the whole time!

Saturday morning, I passed the kids off to the grandparents (Delainey to Grammy and Blakely to Gammo) and headed towards Tallahassee for my first FSU game in the past 3 years. Dave met us over in Tally and the fun began. I had to snap a pic of what tailgating looks like now that I'm a mom. A little pump session before leaving the car to meet up with friends lol. We had awesome seats with access to the University Club. It was a nail biter, but we pulled out the W and had a great time!

Sunday we rushed home to get the girls and go to a pumpkin party at Gammo's church. There was a hayride, games, crafts, trunk or treating, snow cones and cookies, and face painting.
