Delainey's 2 1/2 year update

I am a little behind as Delainey turned 2 1/2 on November 3rd, but better late than never. Where to begin with my sweet, loving, rambunctious little girl! The past half year as been one of the most difficult yet rewarding times with Delainey so far. She is so expressive and verbal she makes me laugh all day long and gives me a run for my money by disputing why she shouldn't do everyday tasks. She is growing into such a fun young girl! Here are some updates over the past 6 months:
Height: about 38 inches - she is a giant! Everyone thinks she is at least 4 years old, especially because she is so mature for her age.
Weight: 30 pounds
Head Circumference: Who knows! haha I don't think they measure this anymore
Movement: Running, jumping, and climbing everywhere. She can pretty much climb a rock wall by herself and also can slide down a fire pole. We are working on our balance on one leg and trying to learn how to ride a bike. We haven't been as involved in our sports as I would like to be, so it's time to step it up! :)
Eating Habits/New Foods: Favorite foods are pancakes, yogurt, bagels with cream cheese, any fruit, cheese, salami, chicken nuggets, applesauce pouches, hotdogs, peas, corn, steak, meatballs, quesadillas, chips and guacamole or queso, pretzels, yogurt raisins, chinese food, and of course any sort of sweet treat. You've been spoiled a lot recently with candy due to Halloween and the holidays.
Sleeping Patterns: You usually go to bed around 9:30-10. We have tried to move it earlier, but with your nap at 2 pm you just are wide awake until at least 9ish. You are still taking a nap everyday for anywhere between 1-2 hours. You can skip a nap, but the next day you are very irritable. You usually wake around 8ish. You have moved to your big girl room and are doing very well in it. For naps you insist on wearing your pull ups and pjs so you are nice and comfy.
Sounds/Words: You are most definitely an auditory learner. You hear something one time and weeks later you remember it out of the blue. You can say some of the lines in your favorite books verbatim and you love to sing. You are a sponge when it comes to new words which is good, but also scares me  because you have been coming home from preschool with some new sayings. Some of my favorites are when someone asks you how you are so smart you say "could be I'm a genius!" you are working on saying because instead of could be. Also we loving hearing you say your own prayers and thanking God for all types of fun things. You are in a "Do it myself" stage. Clothes, shoes, buckling the carseat, climbing things...it's all "by myself."
New discoveries/accomplishments:
-You found out you are going to be a big sister to Blakely in March 2015.
-You have moved into your new big girl room and bed
-You are potty trained 100%
-You started preschool and have made so much progress in areas of colors, shapes, numbers, artwork, and sitting still and listening to directions. We are having some struggles with not taking toys from other students. I personally think you do it for attention because you want someone to play with you.
-Everywhere we go you make friends and love playing with older kids.
-You were Belle for Halloween and loved trick or treating.
-You had so much fun in the Keys this year and are definitely a FL girl who loves the boat
-You are able to swim by yourself
-You have 2 more cousins added to the bunch - Walker & Waylon
New Friends I've made: You have made tons of new friends at preschool and at Mom to Mom this year. Your favorite friend from school is Ella Kay. You love playing with anyone older. You met Joe's daughters Kinley & Emma. You love Jack and Daltyn. And love playing with Parker, Charlotte, & Grace from Mom to mom. Collins is still your best friend even though we don't get to see her as much. Actually your best friend on earth is Georgia, who is growing so fast and you just love playing with her.
Places you went/Adventures: You went to the Keys this summer, started preschool, we watched Georgia for 3 months and you guys became best friends, you went Trick or treating with Jack & Daltyn, we went to Mickey's not so scary halloween party, we went to watch the airshow on the boat, you did lots of fall activities, and you found out you are going to be a big sister and it's another girl!
Things you love: You love playing dress up especially any disney princess, you like to read books, do ANYTHING outside, fish with Daddy or at gammoes, go to gymnastics, and play pretend doctor or mommy with your baby dolls. You are getting good with matching and puzzles. We are just now entering the jigsaw puzzles and they are a little more difficult. You love art especially painting and play-doh. We are working on our cutting skills and using a glue stick. You can color over one particular object instead of the whole page now. You love to sing and dance around the house and pretend to cook with your kitchen.
Clothes: You are in 4T sleeper. We are doing 3T for all clothes even though they are loose on your waist. They have to be that size for the length. These are your current sizes: Gymboree-2T/3T, Target- 3T, Carter-3T , Old Navy/Gap- 3T. Size 9-10 shoes

5 month (20 weeks) Bumpdate

How far along: 20 Weeks (21 now!)
Gender: Girl!
Total weight gain: 13 lbs...Not to bad for being halfway through the pregnancy. I know they say you gain the most towards the end, but I'm not overly concerned with it to be honest.
Maternity Clothes:   Definitely for my pants. I finagle getting into my Lululemon pants still, but they are pushing poor baby B so hard.  Shirts are about half maternity half regular, just looser shirts or long tanks underneath. The weather has been cold so my wardrobe has mainly been leggings, boots, and tunics or sweaters which I just love!!
Sleep: Doing good. Not so much for poor David though...he lets me know often that the snoring has commenced. I did it with Delainey too the bigger she got so he is in for a long 19 more weeks. I am starting to have  more dreams which means I am not getting into the true deep sleep but I feel pretty rested in the morning so thats good.
Miss Anything:  Holding Delainey. Because of my placenta previa, I am not allowed to lift anything over 20 pounds...so no more watching Georgia, lifting Delainey, doing anything too strenuous, and no long shopping trips to the mall or target. I have been trying my best not to do too much on my feet, but it's hard to sit still all the time. Thank the Lord for Grammy & Kelli who have been helping a lot with Delainey and my house :)
Cravings: Nothing new really, still love all italian foods. Pineapple, apples with peanut butter, ramen noodles, string cheese. I am not so into Mexican these days.
Symptoms: Feeling pretty good. Taking the past month pretty easy. I started feeling her kick around 18 weeks which I just love!! I love knowing she is active and doing good in there. I had another spotting scare at 20 weeks, but the Dr checked her out and said she looked Awesome! At 18 weeks they told me the placenta was completely covering the cervix, but on Monday it looked like it had moved to the side a bit which is a good thing so we need to keep her moving to the side! Other than the previa, I feel great and am enjoying the fall festivities.
Belly Button in or out: It's out!
Mood: Excited, moving along slowly but surely and hoping to find out in the next 6-7 weeks that the previa is 100% gone. It's great having the holidays here too with plenty of people to help with D and doing Christmas shopping. It makes the weeks pass quickly
Best Moment this month:  Deciding on a name: Blakely Ann McLaughlin is the official name of my sweet 2nd girly! It's also been nice to see her twice on ultrasound.
Looking forward to:  Thanksgiving and Christmas with family and friends! woohoo! :)

Past Weeks Activities

David and I headed to Florida v. Georgia a week and a half ago to enjoy some tailgating with friends in the freezing cold. It actually wasn't too bad as far as the temp goes, it was the 25 mph winds that kept it pretty chilly. We rode over on the water taxi which is always an adventure to see all the young college kids all fired up for the game....oh to be young! :)
This past week we have been getting Delainey moved into her big girl room! She has loved sleeping in her new queen bed and Dave & I also love it because we can finally fit in bed with her and snuggle at night. It is still a work in progress and I will post some pictures of the finished product when we are done.
D also hit her 2 1/2 year mark on the 3rd this month. I will do a post on her in the next few days. I'm also at my 20 week mark which calls for another post. Time to get back on the blogging ball!

Halloween photo dump

I have been such a slacker lately with this blog. I don't even know where the time has gone. Everytime I go to write a post I fall asleep with the computer on my lap. :) Anyways, here are some pictures from Halloween. We went with my friend Meagan and her kids in Durbin Crossing. Georgia joined us for a little bit too.

We also went to Jeff's work earlier that day to do some trick or treating around the office. Delainey got so much candy! She loved it!

Sitting at Uncle Babe's desk eating some of her candy.
