My 30th Birthday Week!

Birthday week kicked off on Friday, well really I've been getting little bday perks and presents all month, but it officially was my week and I pretty much got to make all the plans. Friday Dave tested out the boat since it hasn't been on the water for over a month so D and I enjoyed a little afternoon joy ride and then headed to Movies in the park to have a picnic and watch the Lego movie.
D lasted about 30 minutes into the movie before she lost interest and wanted to go play with some other kids running around. It was fun while it lasted and we will definitely be doing it again!

Saturday we took the boat out to watch the NAS Air show. The boat is 100% the way to go. Traffic was insane trying to get on the navy base. We tied up with one of Dave's coworkers, Joe, who has 2 daughters and they brought 2 other little girls so Delainey had a blast playing with the girls. Of course the weather was perfect and the airshow was very cool. The jets were flying directly over us! Taking the boat out of the water was not fun considering there were another 50 boats all trying to get off the water at the same time. Next year we will have to plan on staying on the water for an extra hour or so after it ends.

After the show, we headed home to shower and head to Marcia's for my family birthday dinner. My whole family including my cousins came over and enjoyed a gourmet meal of filet mignon! We opened presents, had pie, and played some games afterwards. It was exactly how I wanted to celebrate going into my 30s!!

Sunday we went to church and then headed out to Erica's annual pumpkin carving party. D actually helped a little this year. She tried taking the seeds out one by one so I sped the process up. I didn't let her use any sharp objects yet so I carved Ariel, but she had fun running around the yard and eating candy.

Tuesday, my actual birth DAY, Dave took me out to dinner at Ruth's Chris just the 2 of us and got me a lovely new Michael Kors purse. I had such a great birthday surrounded by all the people who I love and am welcoming what 30 has to offer. Life is great with my husband, daughter, daughter on the way, and all my amazing friends and family!

Pumpkin patches Galore

We have clearly enjoyed this new fall weather and all the fun it brings. This week was FILLED with pumpkin patches and all types of other activities.
On Monday, I took D and Georgia to a local kids play place called Tommy's pumpkin patch that has bounce houses, a corn maze, hay rides, and a petting zoo. Delainey had a blast. Here are some pics from that adventure.

Tuesday, Delainey's preschool had a little fall festival where parents were allowed to come. We took a head ride out back behind the school, picked out pumpkins, had a snack, and pet some animals.
Here is her class and teachers

Wednesday, there was a Mom to Mom playdate  at a nearby pumpkin patch where they had story time, decorated pumpkins, and played some games. Most of the kids from our moms group were there. We attempted a group pic :)

Thursday was pretty low key and today we went to the zoo with Kelli & Georgia. We are headed to watch the airshow on the boat tomorrow then birthday dinner at Marcia's with the family. We are off to a great birthday week!

Weekend Recap

This last week has been spent at school, listening to a great speaker on marriage at Mom to Mom, and lots of family time. One of Delainey's favorite things to do at Gammoe's is go fishing! She still doesn't like to touch them, but boy can she reel in a fish!
Pardon the boob shot here. haha
Saturday, Dave got called into surgery so Delainey and I had a relaxing day at the beach with just the 2 of us. They weather was perfect and we figured it was probably our last chance to get some sun. We enjoyed lunch after and then headed home for naps.
After naps, we dropped D off at Gammoe's for a sleepover and we headed to St. Augustine for Jessica & I's birthday dinner. We ate at a place called Ice Plant. It was a very cool industrial atmosphere that reminded you off an old speakeasy. The menu was 4 pages of cocktails and 1 page of food, so you can assume they were known for all their homemade drinks since it is a distillery. The food was really good though! My scallops were amazing and Dave's burger was huge. They don't accommodate big parties well which stunk, but besides that it was a nice dinner.

After dinner we headed to a bar to watch the FSU vs. Notre Dame game. Talk about a nail biter. Hey we won though so that's all that matters. Sunday, I cleaned out what is going to be Delainey's big girl room and ordered her some new bedding. All we need to do is paint, jazz up her closet and decorate and we are good to go! Little sister will be here before we know it. I am almost half way! woohoo!!!

4 month (16 Weeks) Bumpdate

How far along: 16 Weeks (17 now!)
Gender: Girl!
Total weight gain: 7 lbs...I'm pretty excited about this! I was at 6 lbs at 13 weeks with Delainey so we are doing good
Maternity Clothes:   Yes on almost all of my pants. I am still squeezing into one pair of regular pants, butI have to use the hair tie trick. Shirts still fit they are just getting short on the belly. I'm doing a lot of tanks and open cardigans  to utilize all my normal clothes.
Sleep: Pretty good! Besides my crazy dog who bothers me all night long going under the covers and back out, I'm sleeping good. I didn't sleep so well for the week Delainey was sick, since she was in my bed kicking me in the back. Other than that sleeping like usual. I'm usually up 1 time at night to go pee. I get so thirsty at night so of course I drink way too much and have to pee during the middle of the night. Ahh
Miss Anything:  cocktails, well maybe just a beer or glass of wine. Nothing makes me happier than watching some FSU football with an ice cold beer. I'm happily giving it up though! :) I also miss deli meat...sub sandwiches to be exact. Maybe in a few months I'll be more daring and eat some. I just don't want to risk getting listeria this early on.
Cravings: No surprise to anyone who knows me, but of course it'a pasta. Literally anything with a noodle. I am also loving cheese, ice cream, and apples with peanut butter. I'm not loving chicken right now.
Symptoms: Feeling pretty good. Around 14-15 weeks I regained my energy and the nausea went away. I love the 2nd trimester. Not mention it is during my favorite time of the year, Fall. Football, my birthday, halloween, thanksgiving, christmas....just Heaven!  I did have a scare at 14 weeks and found out I have partial placenta previa so I am trying to rest as much as possible. No exercise or anything crazy. Hoping it moves out of the way soon!
Belly Button in or out: I'd say it's about 3/4 of the way out.
Mood: Excited, just loving all of the fun activities going on and looking forward to celebrating my big 3-0!!
Best Moment this month:  Finding out it's a girl with all of our family and friends present. I was truly 100% shocked!
Looking forward to:  Finally deciding on a name for baby girl. We have it narrowed down to 2 names so I'm just waiting for Dave to give me the final word on which one he likes! Also celebrating my birthday. My life is exactly where I hoped it would be by the time I was 30. Fantastic husband, lovely marriage, awesome daughter, and another sweet baby on the way. We are blessed!

Fun Fall Activities

This week we have been on the mend and getting over our cold, while poor Georgia has been going through the thick of it. I think by the end of this weekend everyone will be 100% again. The first half of the week was spent at gymnastics, school, mom to mom, and lots of naps in between to heal our bodies. By Thursday things were definitely looking up, so we made plans to hang with our BFF Collins and her mom Alicia on Friday.
We had a blast! I don't know what it is about Collins, maybe that she is older and D looks up to her or is just obsessed with her, but whenever they are together Delainey is an angel! We went to story time at the library and the girls sat right up front while Alicia, Georgie, and I sat at the back. D sang all the songs, did all the hand movements, and sat silent criss cross applesauce while they had several books read to them. I was so impressed she could do that for a 30 minute period. After story time, they had a craft where we made fall wreaths. Then we headed to chick-fil-a for lunch and play time. It was such a nice relaxing Friday!

Today went to home depot, to get one of my birthday presents....new closet organization! I can't wait to install it and have some order to my clothes! Then we came home, watched football, napped, and then headed to a pumpkin patch with some friends. There was a playground and some crafts to do that were pumpkin related. D mostly enjoyed running around with her friends.

 Delainey and baby Weston
Trying to get a group picture of all the kids...hilarious! 5 families worth of kids with 2 more girls on the way.

After the pumping patch, we all went out to dinner for hibachi. Delainey had never been and I was so excited to finally take her. Of course she loved the fire and sat in amazement the entire time. She even asked to use the kids chopsticks because Jack was. She did awesome, she ate majority of her food with chopsticks. Girl after my own heart! :)

Overall it was a lovely afternoon with friends. Guess this is what our weekends are going to look like from now on. I love it!

Mickey's 'Not so scary' Halloween Party

Last Sunday after a week of being sick and a gender reveal party, we headed down to Orlando for Mickey's halloween party. It was definitely not the best time to go, but the bad thing about the party tickets is once you choose a date and buy it, they are nonrefundable. So we were heading to Disney no matter how we felt. D took a short nap on the way down and in no time we were there. She dressed up as Belle for the party as most of the kids and a lot of the adults do dress up. The best part of the parties are there is barely no lines to wait in. We ran around did the usual rides, tried a new ride called the Enchanted Tiki room with singing birds. I thought it was horrible, but Delainey loved it bc it's all she talked about the next day.

She also was finally tall enough to do the speedway and even got to drive, while David controlled the gas. She really enjoyed that one! Preggo moms rides were limited, but I was fine with staying back and taking pictures.
They had stations set up to trick or treat which was fun, but the lines were pretty long for that. We stopped by 2 trick or treat stations, got enough candy to last us through the fireworks and parade and headed to watch the firework show. It was a really good fireworks show, set to music! The parade I didn't love though. It was a little bit to scary for kids I thought when the zombies came out. I was unimpressed with the parade to be honest.

We beat the rush and made it back to the car and on the road by about 11:30. D was absolutely exhausted. I thought it would be perfect and she would sleep the whole ride home...wrong! She cried for the first 30 minutes that she wanted out of the car seat. It just isn't that comfortable for her to sleep in anymore. She finally cried enough to pass out. That lasted about 30 minutes until the crying started again. I finally gave her my phone to play on and she was up playing games the rest of the way home. Needless to say we won't be making the midnight trek home anymore. For the christmas party we will definitely be spending the night down there this time. Overall it was a good time, but I definitely like the Christmas party better...could be because I don't love halloween and am obsessed with Christmas..who knows. That's just my opinion!
