Happy Birthday Grammy!

Today we celebrate my mom being on this earth for 57 years. She not only is the best mom in the world, she also is the best grammy too! I know everyone says their mom is the best but seriously she is! Gram is leaving for 2 1/2 weeks on Wednesday to go meet our new baby nephews and Kelli and I are dying about how we will survive that long without mom. She is always there to watch our kids when we need some free time, cook us dinner, take us out to dinner, run errands for us, do our laundry, and the list goes on and on. We are so lucky to have such a fantastic role model for what a great mom and wife looks like. Heres to at least another 35 years of life Grammy! We love you so much!
As I mentioned earlier, my brother and his wife Brandi are expecting twin boys and they are scheduled for a c-section this Thursday. We can't wait to see pics of the new babies. Delainey is going from 1 cousin to 3 cousins! Christmas is going to be a lot more fun with all these kiddos running around in the years to come.

This past week we enjoyed some story time at Barnes & Noble and lunch at Chick-fil-a. We also swam at the pool one day and ran errands.

Yesterday, I got to do some shopping by myself and have lunch with my friend Jessica while David watched D. Talk about heaven to spend just one day relaxing and taking my time while shopping! :) I hope everyone else had a great weekend.
Best friends for life!!

Last weeks activities

This past week Desiree, my mom's best friend, came into town and brought with her her daughter and 2 grandsons, Caden or Grayson who are 6 and 4. We spent quite a few days with them swimming in the pool till the sun went down and playing lots of cards. We brought them to our community pool on Friday, and we headed to the beach on Saturday. By the end of the week, Delainey was so exhausted which led to some crazy behavior, but my sweet little girl is back!

As far as watching 2 goes, Georgia has jumped into our normal routine flawlessly. She goes to My gym with us, grocery shopping, and I have even gotten them down for a nap at the same time on a few days! D loves helping feed Georgia and doing other chores for me which are such a big help.

We start tutoring again at school this week, but don't have too much else on tap this week. I hope everyone has a good week!

Georgia's Baptism

This past Sunday we celebrated Georgia's baptism at my mom and sister's school San Juan del Rio. Jeff's brother Joey is the godfather and I am the godmother. It was a nice quick ceremony and then we headed back to Kelli's for a brunch celebration. Here are some pictures from the day.

And of course one pic of D scarfing down some cake! hah

My first week with 2!

This past Wednesday marked the beginning of me watching Georgia everyday and getting my practice as a mother of 2! It went great! Georgia is so easy and flexible that adding her to the mix was a breeze. It definitely takes me longer to get out of the house, and Delainey constantly wants to touch her or play in the baby items, but besides that it's like we haven't even added another.
We had an outing to Chick-fil-a on Thursday and we went to the pool on Friday since Dave didn't have to work! Delainey is going to love having Georgia around all the time! (D was crying bc Georgia just grabbed a nice handful of hair and pulled it haha!)

On another note, Tuesday was my last day of tutoring for the summer and Grammy had Delainey for the day. She had a hair appointment so she brought D with her. The nice hair washing lady offered to wash Delainey's hair and blow dry it. Delainey loved it and thought she was the coolest kid ever! All she talks about is going to the salon and does her dolls hair!

Keys Trip 2014 Part 3

Our last day in the Keys was a relaxing one after being so busy on the boat. We slept in and went to have brunch at a place called Robbie's marina. You could feed the tarpon there. It also had a flea market where you could buy lots of fun trinkets. The food was delicious! After brunch we hopped on the boat and went to the sandbar to swim around for a little bit!

After the sandbar we headed home to shower up and enjoy dinner at Lazy Days one of my favorite restaurants in the keys. I had a shrimp and scallop pasta that was delicious. The scenery was lovely and of course D loved running around below the restaurant.

We packed up majority of our things that night and hit the road bright and early on Saturday to head home. Ralphy sat in the back the entire way home and entertained Delainey. She introduced him to Finding Nemo, princess sticker books, coloring, and stories. Ralph is going to be a grandpa in a few months so it was good practice for her.

Once again she was a champ in the car! Overall she was a champ the whole week. She just went with the flow and adjusted her schedule so nicely! Thanks Cap & Steph for another fantastic lobstering season! Now if only we can get David to join us! Next year he is in for sure!

Keys Trip 2014 Part 2

Wednesday early morning marked the beginning of lobster mini season. In order to get to our spot where the most lobster are according to what we scouted the day before, we had to wake up so early to beat everyone else! We woke D around 4:15 and were out on the water by 4:30. She is the happiest chid ever in the morning. She jumped out of bed and said we are going on the boat! She counted the stars on the ride out, sang songs about the moon, and watched Frozen on the iPad while we waited for the sun to come up.
As soon as it was dawn, Cap, Steph, & Ralph were in the water pulling up lobsters and throwing them into the boat. Delainey wasn't very amused by the lobsters. We ended up getting our limit of 30 lobsters for our boat by 8:19. This year was definitely harder to find them then usual.

We headed back to the house around 10 am for a nap and some time by the pool. Later that night we enjoyed my favorite meal of the year. Lobster legs, lobster tails, and aglio e olio. I literally sat at the table for over an hour picking the meat out of the legs.

D was exhausted by the end of the night and needed some quiet time to herself haha

Here are some pictures when we got home with all of our lobster. Between the 2 boats we ended up with 66 the first day and 48 the second day. Lobster for dinner all year long!

The pic below is a picture of me and D in 2013 vs. 2014. She looks so much thinner and older.
Thursday was another day of lobstering, pool time, and another delicious dinner. D and I were dropped off around noon so she good catch up on her sleep. She slept for almost 3 hours!
I'll be back with a post of our last day and the ride back!
