1st Trimester Bumpdate

On July 22nd, we got the best news! We were expecting baby #2! It was not an easy journey getting to this point, but we couldn't have been happier when we found out the good news. The first few weeks nothing really changed as far as how I felt or looked. But then 7 weeks hit. The nausea and tiredness definitely kicked in. I kept telling myself it was a good sign to be sick and tired so bring it on!
By 8 weeks, the belly was definitely starting to show. I had my first ultrasound mid way through 7 weeks and everything looked great so it was around 8 weeks that I told a few of my best friends the good news.

10 Weeks - I kept sending Grammy belly pics when she was away visiting Tony and Brandi and the new babies. I also had another ultrasound with a different doctor and it looked great. Measuring right on track with a good heartbeat.

No hiding this belly now!! We were heading to Trip's wedding and I had supper club so I thought it was time to make this pregnancy public at Week 12. I am still a little tired and had some horrible headaches last week, but otherwise doing good. Nausea kicks up a notch when I take my prenatal vitamins, but as long as I'm eating I am not too bad.

I am officially in the 2nd trimester now at 13 weeks. I was hoping I would feel miraculously better like I did with Delainey, but I haven't noticed much change yet. Maybe in another week or so. Atleast the headaches have gone away. I am so excited for the next trimester as we will find out the sex of the baby on Halloween day and will get to celebrate so many holidays with the new baby in my belly! We are officially 1/3 of the way there! Thanks for all your prayers for the miracle baby and please keep them coming for a smooth pregnancy and healthy baby! God bless!!

Trip & Lisa's wedding recap

This past weekend David and I headed to Tampa for one of David's best friends wedding. It was a small day time wedding. It was great to catch up with a lot of Dave's old college buddies!
Friday we had the rehearsal dinner on a river cruise which was really nice. Great food, good company, and a not bad view of Tampa Bay except for the fact that it was raining most of the night.

Saturday we headed to the wedding at 11 and then the reception was in the restaurant on the top floor of our hotel. There wasn't any music or traditional reception dances so we pretty much just talked and ate lunch and then it was over.

Boys giving a very impromptu speech. Of course it was hilarious with this group!
 The Bride & Groom
Wives of the boys...too bad we all don't live closer.  Tampa, Jax, & Atlanta

After the wedding, we changed and went to a friend's house who lives in Tampa to watch some football. We finished the night at a bar called Press Box to watch the Florida State game. What a crazy game! I'm so glad we pulled it out in the end!

On Sunday Dave and I headed home and stopped off in Orlando to use my other 2 free tickets to Universal that I won on the radio. We went to the new Harry Potter land and rode on the new ride. We  ate lunch and then did the transformers ride and headed home to see the queenie! Overall it was a great weekend spent with old friends!

Delainey is going to be a ....

So 2 posts ago I blamed my lack of blogging on my tiredness. Well here is why I've been so tired lately........
Delainey is going to be a BIG SISTER!!

It has been quite the treat taking on 2 kids during my 1st trimester, but we have survived and I am hoping to regain my energy any day now. Baby McLaughlin #2 is due on March 30th so the kids will be just under 3 years apart. Looking back in hindsight, 3 years sounds just perfect to me vs the initial 2 years apart that I wanted. It has been a long journey to get to this point, but I know God had a better plan and his timing is perfect so we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out!

I will try to do Baby Bump updates, but I can't guarantee I will be good at them. I am going to shoot for one every 4 weeks. Not enough changes every week to make it worth reading or writing about. We are scheduled to find out the sex on Halloween day so we have quite some time till we know the sex. For now David and I will just argue over whether he gets a Junior or not haha. I keep telling him it's probably a girl so no need to argue about it :) Anyways we are so excited for this next baby to join our family and can't wait to see what the future holds. Also thanks to everyone who has been praying for us over this past year or so. Please keep praying for a healthy pregnancy and baby! Love to you all!

Early Birthday Surprise to Disney!

For those of you who follow me on Instagram, you already know what happened this past weekend. Here is a recap for those of you who don't. Back track to about 3 weeks ago when I am driving to the hospital to bring my friend dinner. I was listening to the christian radio station and they were doing a giveaway for free tickets to Rock the Universe, a christian concert at Universal Studios that happens once a year. (Emily and I literally talking about going every year, but never follow through). So I figured what the heck why not try to be caller number 9 and win some tickets. Well darned if I didn't get disconnected twice and on my 3rd try it just kept ringing and ringing. I thought to myself Oh my gosh I think I might have just won! You bet I did! I won 4 tickets to Rock the Universe, 4 tickets to Islands of Adventure, and a $25 to M Shack restaurant! Woohoo! I called Emily immediately and said listen to the radio! I won we are going to Rock the Universe! She was excited, but I could tell something wasn't right. That's when she broke the news to me that for an early 30th bday present she bought us tickets to Night of Joy (the same type of concert at Magic Kingdom just with different artists) for that same weekend and we were going Friday night. She also got us a hotel and arranged who was watching Delainey. I felt so bad! Of course I ruin every surprise! In the end it worked out perfect. Instead of 1 night we got to do a whole weekend!
On Friday night we drove down, and went to Night of Joy at Disney. We saw Matthew West, Chris Tomlin, and my fave of the night Hillsong United. We also got to do a few rides which got us out of the rain for a little bit. It was a lot of fun, but a late night. We got back to the hotel around 1:30 am and we were exhausted.

Friday night we stayed at the Pop Century and we were in the 50s themed building. Disney does a great job of decorating making you feel like you really are in that era.

Saturday, we took advantage of 2 of my free passes to Islands of Adventure to see the semi new Harry Potter land. We did a few rides, drank butterbear, bought a Harry t-shirt and headed home for a nap before another long night ahead.

That night we showered up to head to Rock the Universe and a huge storm came. So instead of battling that we went out to dinner at a restaurant called Yard House which was awesome and watched some football. We headed to Universal around 8:30 and made it just in time to see Toby Mac who is really the only one we cared to see that night. He was awesome! I felt like I was at a Justin Beiber concert with all the lights and smoke and dancing. Definitely a good entertainer. We walked over to the brand new Harry Potter area called Diagon Alley, which was awesome! I truly felt like I was in the movie! Universal had much more wild teenagers than Disney so we didn't stay too long. Most rides had at least a 45-1 hour wait so we said forget it and headed back around midnight.
Sunday we shopped at the Mall of Millennia and Ikea and then headed home. We had a great time and I guess it wasn't all bad that I ruined the surprise! :)

Delainey's 1st day of Preschool - 2's

Sorry for the lack of posting lately! By the time I get in bed to look at the computer and maybe blog, I  find myself going straight to sleep. I will explain more in a post next week what has been going on. In other news, Delainey has completed her 2nd week of preschool today and it seems to be going well. She was very excited to head off to school on the first day and wear her new backpack and eat her lunch she helped me pack! Of course she was most excited about playing on the playground.

She ran right into school like such a big girl! We ran into a girl I know from Mom to Mom and the pool while walking in so D went up and said Hey Claire! Unfortunately Claire is in the 3's class so she was on her own with all new students in her class.

As soon as we went in, she ran off to play. I made her go to the bathroom and then said bye. I had to force her to give me a kiss. Where has my baby gone! I will say I would much rather that though then the 4 or 5 kids who were in there hysterically crying hanging onto their moms.
That afternoon we picked her up, and of course I asked her a million questions about what she did. She was so exhausted the only things she told me was that she did not share and that she got timeout. Oh great I'm thinking. My kids is the mean one who the teacher isn't going to like. Haha well long story short I asked the next day if she got timeout and the teacher said she hadn't on either day so D was just making that up. I bribed her with an ice cream treat if she was nice so that was a good incentive. I definitely think she is a positive reinforcement child and not a negative. Being punished just doesn't phase her.
We had another successful week at school with Mom to Mom in between on Wednesdays which of course I love. 2 hours with no kids, free breakfast, an awesome message on how to be a Godly mom, and fellowship with friends...it's the best! It has been nice being on a schedule again. It makes the day go by so much faster, plus I love getting some one on one time with Georgia when D is at school. I'll be back soon to recap my surprise weekend getaway soon!

Preschool Orientation & Labor Day Weekend

This past week we went to Delainey's preschool orientation and boy was she excited. She is starting tomorrow and she will be going to school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 to 1:00. It will be nice for D to have some structured time for learning, play, lunch, art, music, science, & library. I am pretty excited to have 2 days a week with just Georgia too.

This weekend we were home alone while David was in the keys lobstering since he couldn't go when we went in July. We spent some time doing back to school shopping, swimming at the pool, and a sleepover with Gammoe.

I honestly think I am more excited about D's school. I just love labeling everything and organizing her new lunchbox and backpack with all the stuff she needs. Wish us luck tomorrow as it will be our first time with 2 getting out of the house! Mom to Mom starts up again on Wednesday too! I am so looking forward to some fellowship and learning about how to be a godly mother. Back to the busy schedule we go! Hope everyone has a great week!
