Day trip to Disney with Collins

Yesterday, Alicia and I decided to take the girls down to Disney World for a day trip. We bought the FL residents deal where you get 3 days for $129. We are using 2 days for Delainey's birthday so we needed another day to go! (Any excuse to head down there! I love it!) We got up bright and early before the sun came up and hit the road. Delainey is so my child. We are morning people! And I mean I  opened her door and she sat up in bed and said I'm awake! and hopped out of bed and ran out the door.
We got to disney around 9:30 and actually got into the park by 10:30. It was pretty crowded being spring break time. We borrowed Alicia's friends second seat and lived the dream with the dual stroller! (Please note I also made the girls matching Minnie Mouse shirts, except they would not cooperate to take 1 single picture together without their leashes on.

Once we got in we hit up It's a small world, The little mermaid, dumbo, the barnstormer roller coaster (which D got off and said "That's too fast"). Then we grabbed some lollipops to keep the girls happy and headed over to watch the parade. It was nap time at this point and there was no chance these girls were sleeping so we gave them some sugar to push through. After the parade we did Winnie the pooh, Country bear jamboree, and enchanted tales with Belle. We were losing the girls quickly and the lines didn't help. After Belle we headed to get some food, where they both had a small melt down and decided it was time to head home despite wanting to stay. We ended up leaving at 7.

Of course D was asleep within 10 minutes of being in the car. Tips for any mom taking their kid alone: you must have a leash to corral your child while in line, bring a paci or soothie toy to help them take a nap in the stroller, do the fast passes at the beginning of the day before some fast passes sellout, and sneak a beer in to easy the stress of taking care of a tired kid all on your own! (haha jk on the last one, but boy was I exhausted by the end of the day) I can't wait for our 2 day trip for Delainey's birthday. I will have some reinforcements too to help with D which will be awesome!

Georgia's 1st Week of life

Well Georgia has officially been here for over a week now and I have got to see her everyday except one! She is so sweet and cuddly. Delainey has been doing really well with her. At first she was whining for me to hold her whenever I would hold Georgia, but now she just wants to touch her and kiss her all the time. She is definitely learning some new things like how babies drink "booby milk" and what baby dirty diapers look like. I am so glad Kelli lives so close so we can pop in and hold her and give Kelli a chance to take a nap.

Besides hanging with Kelli, we went to the beach on Friday. It was spring break so it was packed!! We got some sun though and we were able to enjoy some play time with Collins.

We just hung out this weekend, went to church, and I went to see the movie Divergent. I loved the books and the movie didn't disappoint! Yesterday, we took a day trip to Disney. I will do another post on Disney shortly.

Georgia Rae is here!

Monday night, I finally decided to hit the gym to get ready for beach season. Of course as I step on the treadmill, I get a phone call from Kelli saying her water broke. I rushed home showered real quick and headed to the hospital. I left D home with David and the next morning Marcia came to take her for the day. It was a long night of waiting and finally around 9:30 am she started pushing. It definitely was not an easy delivery, but Georgia finally made her debut at 1:22 pm on March 18th. She weighed 8 lbs 12 ounces and was 21.5 inches long. She is so cute! And despite her size she still seems so little to me!

Delainey met Georgia at the hospital and she seemed fine with her. She wasn't too sure how baby Georgia got from Lala's belly to laying over on the bed. She kept pointing at Lala's belly saying hi baby Georgia. But she was nice to her and enjoyed running around the hospital.

Today they headed home from the hospital and will spend their first night alone. Georgia seems like a pretty easy baby so hopefully everything will go smoothly!

While I was at the hospital, Gammoe took Delainey to the zoo. This was the first time she requested to ride on the carousel and loved it! She must be preparing for our trip to Disney on Tuesday!! We are going with Alicia and Collins and we can't wait!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Over the past week, we have been reading our St. Patrick's day books to prepare for the holiday. Yesterday we made our Leprechaun trap and set it out with hopes that we would catch Liam the Leprechaun.

Delainey woke up this morning and ran to the trap to see if we caught a leprechaun. We didn't but he left some footprints and a clue for a scavenger hunt. She did so good finding the next clue. The hunt ended with some gold chocolates and a note from Liam. Maybe we will catch him next year.

We finished off our morning making green pancakes, eating lucky charms, and a delicious kiwi for breakfast.

Erica's baby shower

This past weekend we celebrated Erica and baby Weston who will be here at the end of April. For once I was not a part of planning it. I gave my advice as far as color scheme and a few ideas and I made the banners, but that was the extent of it. It was so nice being able to walk in when it began and leave without having to clean up! The theme was navy blue and white nautical.

We got to hit the beach this week, go on the boat, and spend some quality time with Aunt Lala. We are still waiting for baby Georgia to make her debut so we have been killing time shopping and having lunch. Here are some pics of this week:

22 Months Update

Height: about 36 inches
Weight: about 27 pounds
Head Circumference: about 20 inches
Movement: You are still loving your trampoline and can jump so high on it! We are working on jumping and opening and closing our legs. Not quite there. We are also working on moving our fingers on purpose. You can do the pointer really well, but you still need work on the other fingers. Like counting with them from 1 to 5.
Eating Habits/New Foods: You are still obsessed with fruit and your favorite food of all time is Avocado. One week you eat great and the next you just pick. We will get the hang of it one of these days :) Fave foods this month: asparagus, broccoli, chicken, fries, popsicles, any fruit except cantaloupe,  scrambled eggs with cheese, pancakes, salami, & of course cheese! There is definitely no shortage of calcium in your diet. You are not drinking that much milk though. Maybe 10 oz throughout the day.
Sleeping Patterns: Last month I mentioned if you had your paci all was right with the world. Well crazy Mommy got a wild hair and took them all away last week. We discussed that we would give them to baby Georgia and poof they disappeared. That has affected the time you have been going to bed, but you still are sleeping between 11-12 hours at night and 1-2 for a nap. You just need Mom to lay with you at bedtime now, which I don't mind too much!
Sounds/Words: I think you may grow up to be a singer one day! You love to sing and daily you will sing a new song I've never heard you sing. I guess you just sit back and take in all the words and then belt it out randomly. This category can probably go away too. You can say anything and speak in great sentences. Sometimes when you get really excited, you stutter at the beginning bc you can't get out what you want to say. I think your brain processes faster than you can speak!
New discoveries/accomplishments:
-You went to the movie theater for the 1st time to see Frozen
-You got your 2 year old molars on the bottom.
-You have been going "poop" in the big girl potty a decent amount lately. (Not trying to potty train yet)
-You have "given up" your need for pacifiers!
-In return for taking the paci's away, you got a big girl pillow!
-You were a flower girl in Jessica's wedding in Savannah
-You saw all of your Pop's family at Walter's wedding in West Palm Beach
-You went on your first Trolley ride around St. Augustine with Alicia & Collins
-You went to Chuck E Cheese in West Palm for the 1st time
New Friends I've made: You got to see family we haven't seen in forever at Walter's wedding, and you made friends with Jessica's sister and niece who were also flower girls. You have spent tons of time with Collins & got to go to zoo with Braelyn. You also stayed with Linda & Leon in West Palm while we were at the wedding and had a great time crafting & playing with them.
Places you went/Adventures: You went to Savannah for Jessica's wedding, West Palm Beach for Walter's wedding, St. Augustine for a trolley ride, the zoo, the beach, and had a lot of time spent outside at the house playing!
Clothes: You are moving up to 3T sleepers. The 2T are getting a little tight height wise. These are your current sizes: Gymboree-2T, Target- 2T/3T, Carter-2T , Old Navy/Gap- 2T. Size 8 shoe.
You are in a size 5 diaper.

My "Not so little" little girl & some homeschool preschool

We are just 2 months away from Delainey turning 2 and I can't believe how quickly she has grown up! I love this age (maybe the most). She communicates so well, understands my humor, and makes me laugh all day long! I figured it was about time to start setting some routines and maybe start working a little more on some preschool stuff so she is not shell shocked when she starts preschool this fall. I know she will be fine as far as smarts go, but I just want to work on more of following a routine and some structure as far as learning goes.
I found this great online curriculum called ABC Jesus Loves Me. It is a free preschool curriculum that you can download each week that has everything laid out for you to do that week. I took the curriculum and ran with it and made this awesome board to keep us organized and on track! Honestly the board is more for me to remember what I should be focusing on for that week. It's definitely going to be a work in progress figuring out what works for us since we like to pick up and go so much, but I will keep you posted on our journey.
In adding with Delainey becoming such a big girl, I decided it was finally time to let her start helping with the cooking. We made cookies the other day and she did very well. Only one lick of the spoon with raw egg on it. O well! I just love her little apron I scored in the $1 section of Target!

It's been raining all week, so we have just been relaxing at the house for the most part. Oh and did I mention waiting on baby Georgia! haha If she is late I will die! Be back in a few days with Delainey's 22 month update.

Jessica's Wedding Pro Pictures Up

Finally a family filled weekend!

Sorry for such a lag in between posts, but Dave has had my computer occupied for the last 3 nights for work! How rude :)
Anyways, this past weekend we actually got to spend some quality family time together. On Friday night, we went to David's co-workers house for dinner and got to meet his family as well as Dr. Lincoln and his family. There were 5 little ones running around so of course Delainey loved it. Everyone was really nice so that's a good thing to get along with Dave's work people!

Saturday, we woke up and I was in the mood for Cracker Barrel, so we took Delainey for her first experience there. I forgot how much food they give you! After breakfast, we headed to the movies to see Frozen. Delainey's 1st movie in a theater! She did great! She had her awesome booster seat and her bag of  popcorn and was in heaven. She started to get a little antsy about an hour into the movie, which ended up being ok because Dave got called into surgery and we had to leave anyways. I give her another 2-3 months and she will be able to do a full movie. Frozen was so cute and I can't wait till it comes out to see how it ended!

Very interested in her movie!
Then Saturday night we went to Jessica & Gregg's for dinner. They invited over all the bridesmaids as sort of a thanks for everything dinner. The food was DELISH! Gregg used to be a chef and he did not disappoint.

Sunday, we went to church and relaxed and then David's sister came in town for the night before heading to Key West for the week. That pretty much sums up our weekend!
I also got to go to Erica's 4D ultrasound on Sunday and see baby Weston! He is so cute and will be here before we know it! Only 8 weeks to go!
Speaking of babies…Where is Georgia!?!? Hoping she makes her debut this weekend! :)
