Movement: Well I'd like to say we are walking, but it just depends which day you are asking. Some days you crawl everywhere and others you walk across the entire house. It is a slow unsteady walk, but you can definitely do it. You just don't like falling and when you do you make the funniest furrow with your brow and get a sad face. Half the time you are up on your knees scooting around. I know by 15 months there will be no more crawling and just walking. You are a dynamite crawler up stairs and get down off things feet first now.
Eating Habits/New Foods: We've cut back on bottles to about 3 a day. One in the morning and at night and then one randomly given depending on when you take your nap. It isn't a mandatory thing anymore though! Today you spit out your sweet potatoes and said No so you for sure getting a little picky with food. We are working on using a fork and you are doing really well with that. You also can bite large things well so I don't have to cut everything so small. You tasted your first pickle and are obsessed. Still a dairy, fruit, and meat girl!
Sleeping Patterns: You are sleeping through the night majority of the time. You've been a little off since moving into Grammy's house. I think it is because all 4 top teeth are coming through. Hopefully that will pass soon. You are kind of in between 1 and 2 naps a day. If you take 2 good naps you aren't as tired at night, but with just 1 nap you get fussy by dinner time. It's a weird stage. You don't sleep nearly as well in the car anymore. You have to be exhausted to fall asleep.
Sounds/Words: You have said lots of new words this month. Your favorite saying is "here ya go." New words you can say are Lala, doggie, Dodada, You have also learned some animal sounds. We have learned the airplane and sorry sign and you started doing the doggie sign more. I'm really focusing on wait and help this month. I am working on all the animal signs too.
New discoveries/accomplishments:
-You got your top two middle teeth and the other 2 next to them are coming in too.
-You are obsessed with swimming and can sit on the edge of the pool and drop in and hold your breath. I am working on floating as we speak.
-You moved out of your 1st house and into Grammy's house for the next 6 months.
-You are walking 20-30 steps in a row.
-You are my sneaky girl. When I tell you no to something, you look back at me smile and then crawl off as fast as you can to do what I just told you no to.
-You had your Baby Dedication at church this month
Places you went/Adventures: Your big adventure this month was moving out of our house and into Gram's. It really consumed majority of the month with lots of packing that had to be done. You got into majority of the boxes and as I put things in you would pull them out. You loved hiding in the empty bathroom cabinets too! You went to Chuck E Cheese for your sis's end of the year party for school. You also went to Erica's gender reveal and found out she's having a girl! You also went out on the boat w/ the McLaughlin fam and went to Adventure landing splash park.
Clothes: You are in 12-18 month clothes in all brands. I am starting to move into some 18-24, but they are a little big on you. You are still in a size 5 diaper. Size 4 shoe
Sister updates: Your sister has been so much sweeter and kinder to you this month and she is back to my good helper. Sometimes you get frustrated with her when I ask her to bring you to me, but for the most part you guys are playing really well together. She is really good at sharing and when you say please we give you the toy to teach you what happens when you use the signs. You are feisty like your sis so I'm not too worried about you being taken advantage of.
