Infant Pool Float Review

Being that we live in FL and have an awesome pool at our neighborhood amenity center, I knew we would need to get Delainey a float for the pool ASAP. We probably go up to the pool 2 or 3 times a week. It does have a walk-in beach entrance where we usually sit, but I wanted to get her something to float in. Well anyone who has kids knows, it is frowned upon to take a baby under the age of 6 months into the water, therefore they don't make floats for babies smaller than 6 months. Nowadays most floats are for 9 months and up. I am determined to have a water baby from the start so there was no way we were waiting till 6 months to get her in the pool. So last night I did some research and read a bunch of reviews on different pool floats to see which would work best for my almost 2 month old. We decided to try out the Swimways Baby Spring Float with Canopy. It is for babies between the ages of 9 months & 24 months. It has some really great features: 1. it has a shade from the sun  2. it is easy to blow up and break down for easy traveling 3. it has an extra inner tube around the outside for extra support against flipping over. I purchased it today at Buy Buy Baby for $20 which is cheaper than most places.

We tested it out on Delainey today and it worked great! She obviously can't sit up yet by herself but it was just the right size for her to lean back and rest her head on the inside tube. The float is great since there is room for her to grow and provides enough support for a 2 month old. She sat in the float for a good 30 minutes kicking her feet and enjoying the day.

Did I mention the pool at my amenity center is awesome! Nothing like relaxing in the sun while servers come around giving you pina coladas and strawberry daiquiris!

This evening we went out to eat at a restaurant called Napoli's Pastaria. I am Italian and am obsessed with anything that has pasta in it, so I knew I needed to give this place a try. All of the food was delicious especially the cannoli we had for dessert. I will definitely be going back again!

  2. Great review! We are going to pick one of these up for our boy tomorrow. He's 2 months and we're taking him into a salt water pool at a friend's house. The have super shallow entrance area (beach entrance style) and I know LO will love to float right there with us. :)

@Ashley, we found swim diapers by charlie banana at target for $11! They are super cute and reusable. :) We bought 2. Size small starts at 11 lbs.
