Weekend Recap

On Saturday we headed to Tally for the FSU vs. Wake football game. We left D at home with her grandmas for the night and headed over with Emily and Jessica.  It was a noon game and it was ridiculously hot so the girls went to watch the game at the bar while Dave went to the game with Kelli & Jeff. We had a great time catching up with old friends and staying at my friend Andrea's house. Andrea just bought a town home so I decided it make her a housewarming gift. I was pretty impressed with how it turned out. Thanks pinterest!
Here is a pic of Dave and his boys. They have been doing this ridiculous pose for years now.

So apparently we missed the memo that the new trend is high waisted mom jeans that are cut off so your butt hangs out. EVERY single girl in Tally was sporting this trend. I guess I'm not trendy bc this is one trend I'm going to have to pass on. :)

We got back to Jax Sunday morning early. (I was a Nazi getting everyone in the car. I couldn't wait to get home to see D even though it was only one night!) Sunday we just hung out at the house and snuggled. Here's daddy with his 2 ladies!

We don't have too much on tap for this week. A lot of hanging out at the house and cleaning since its a rainy week. We have mom to mom Wednesday and Lilly is getting the rest of her teeth pulled on Friday. (Poor dog is going to be toothless, but it's better that than to be in pain from them rotting out.) Also this Wednesday I am hosting our first Girl's Supper club at my house so that should be fun. We are doing a pizza party theme and making our own individual pizzas. I will take some pictures and post how it goes on Thursday. Here are a few pics to leave you with of Delainey hanging at the house and being silly.

19 weeks

We have had a great but busy week! I swear even though I am not working I feel like the week just flies by! On Tuesday we had gymnastics class and our friend Collins decided to join so that will be fun going to class with someone we know! Then we went shopping at the mall. Jacksonville finally got a H&M so I had to hit it up before everything sold out. Honestly, I wasn't too impressed but hopefully they will come out with some good fall items. I did get a cowl-neck sweater poncho that I can't wait to wear!

Wednesday was Mom to Mom and I loved the message. It was all about leaving a legacy and what do we as mom's want to be remembered for. It really makes you think about what is truely important in life and to not sweat the small things! Wednesday night Grammy and I hit up a bi-annual consignment sale called Weetrade! It was like shopping on black Friday but we found some great deals. We got another jumper to keep at Gammo's house, a walker, a cart cover, a life jacket to go out on the boat, lots of toys, puzzles, and clothes! David kept Delainey and sent a video while we were shopping of them playing. It is too funny not to share! haha

Thursday we ran a few errands and hung out at home to help David with our taxes. (Yes we have not filed them yet and it is starting to stress me out, but hopefully by next week they will be done.) Today we are just hanging out at the house, doing laundry, and packing for the weekend. Dave and I are heading over to Tallahassee Saturday morning for the FSU vs. Wake Forest game. It will be the first time we leave D overnight but we know she is in good hands between the 2 grandmas! Off we go to finish packing. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
D in her new walker! She goes backwards but she loves it!

Love her Gymboree romper she is in today! Too cute!

Playdate Monday!

Today was a very exciting day for Delainey. She got to meet 2 of her soon to be best friends. We started out the morning by working out at Timed Exercise. My body is finally getting used to the workouts and I am starting to walk like a normal human being again. She just watches everyone and listens to the music while I workout which is a blessing because it is hard to get up there in the evenings. Then we came home and my friend Audrey and her daughter Braelyn came over to play for a little while. Braelyn is exactly 3 months older than D. Audrey and I were pregnant at the same time while coaching volleyball so it was fun to share stories and learn from each others' experiences. I completely forgot to take a pic of Delainey and Braelyn playing together on their playmats, but we are going to start making it more of a routine so hopefully I will have a pic of them together soon.

Then we took a nice little nap then headed over to my friend Sara's house to meet baby Gannon who is only 8 days old. He is such a cutie! He's a big boy weighing in at 10 lbs but looking at him you would never guess he weighed that much. It was great to catch up with Sara and hang out for a little while. I did get a picture of them together but he was not happy at the time because he was hungry! :)

After Sara's we went to the grocery store, cleaned the house, and then I cooked dinner. I tried a new recipe from The Cheesecake Factory. It was the Madiera Chicken recipe and it was delicious and not hard to do either! Of course I added a side of noodles (instead of mashed potatoes) and put the sauce all over them as well. Here is the link to the recipe:http://www.recipesecrets.net/CheesecakeFactoryChickenMadeira.html Off we go to watch Monday night football!

Here is a pic from church yesterday I just had to share!

One more that Kel sent me from Cam's party. Haha!

Fall has arrived!

For those of you who don't know me well, Fall is by far my favorite season of the year. I love the cool weather, windows open, football season, tailgates, holiday parties, all things pumpkin including pumpkin patches, Thanksgiving, turkey, Florida vs. Georgia, my birthday...it is just the greatest time of year! We definitely got into the fall swing of things this weekend.

On Friday after Dave got home from work, we ate dinner and then headed to Kelli's house to hang out for the night. She just got backsplash put in her kitchen and it looks great. A few of her other friends also came over to hang out. We watched some football and made cake pops for her Jaguar party that she is having on Sunday. Here are some pics from Friday.

Delainey puts EVERYTHING in her mouth now including her Daddy's head!
D & Chelsea meeting for the 1st time
Kel making her Jag cake pops
We decided to hit up Starbucks this morning to try the new Pumpkin Spice Frappucinno. It was heavenly and I will definitely be getting one at least once a week since they are only offered in the fall! Speaking of fall, I can't wait to make some pumpkin bread! Anyways after our run to Starbucks we came home and got ready to go to our friend Camdyn's 2nd birthday party. Of course Delainey needed to look nice for her 1st bday party so she decided to wear a tutu. It was so cute.

We had a great time at Cam's party. We ate, we watched Cam open presents, we took a nap in Cam's big girl bed, we even got to play with some of her toys. It was a great day! Here are some pics from the party.

 Camdyn: The Birthday Girl!!
(Please notice that D is grabbing at the beer bottle in both of those pics. She loves to lick a cold beer bottle. It is hilarious!)

After the party, we went to meet up with David's family and they went on an airboat ride and we had dinner at a restaurant called Crazy Fish. The food was good and was right on the intercoastal so the view was definitely nice.

We had a very busy but exciting day! Tomorrow's agenda includes church, lunch, watching the Jags, and maybe a little house cleaning. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

18 weeks

This has been quite an exciting week! Tuesday evening I started my month of workouts at Timed Exercise. It appealed to me because the workout itself was only 30 minutes long. Finding time to workout with D is next to impossible so I thought 30 minutes would be feasible. Basically each day of the month you do a different set of exercises; usually 6-8 exercises. You do anywhere from 10-18 reps of each exercise then you start the rotation over again. So in 30 minutes you probably get about 6-8 rotations done. Excuse my language, but holy balls it is HARD! I literally thought I was going to die walking out on Tuesday. I don't think I have ever been that sore in my life! I went again yesterday and the soreness is just as bad. Today I am taking off to recover, but will be back at it tomorrow. I took a before picture so hopefully by the end of the month I will see some results!
This is what the class looks like.

Also yesterday was the first day of my Mom to Mom class at the church. I am so excited about it! It is a 16 week series of lessons on how to be a better parent with the whole premiss of parenting inside out. Basically getting myself where I need to be spiritually so I can then get Delainey there. We were grouped off based on our kids age and there were probably 12-14 moms that all had kids under 2. I met some really sweet girls and can't wait to make some new friends with kids that are the same age as D.

Here's D on her first day at mom to mom (in the nursery for 2 whole hours)

Today was a much needed relaxing day of sleeping in late and watching movies. We are off to dinner soon with the family. Hopefully tomorrow we will get to me Gannon, my friend Sara's baby so we will post pics soon. Have a great night!

4 Month Update

Height: 26 1/4 inches - 97%
Weight: 13 lbs & 6 oz - 50%
Head Circumference: 16 1/4 inches - 50%
Vision: Your vision is great. You can see things that are very far away now and you follow objects and lights really well. You sit and watch Lilly all day long. You love TV, the fan, your playmat and of course the faces of your family members. I definitely think you can recognize who people are now.
Movement: You can now roll over! You are a pro on rolling from your back to your stomach. I haven't seen you roll from your stomach to your back yet, but I know you have done it in your bed during the night. Dr. Mary said you are going to be walking at an early age. You hold your head up really well and have a very strong neck and core.
Eating Habits/New Foods: You are still eating every 3 hours during the day. Every 5-7 hours at night. I started taking herbal supplements to increase my milk production to keep up with your growing body. Dr. Mary said you should be eating 6 ounces each feeding so we may need to supplement with formula to fatten you up. I am hoping that will just be temporary and my milk supply will increase. Only 2 more months till we try real food!
Sleeping Patterns: We have started you on a schedule that has been working out very well. At 9:30 pm we take a bath and get into our pajamas. Then we read a book and I feed you. You usually go to sleep at 10 pm. You sleep usually till 4 am and I feed you again. You wake up around 7 or 8 am. It works great for all the activities we are starting in the mornings, but it is rough when you wake up at 7 on a Saturday ready to play. You are still napping about 3 times a day for 45 minutes to an hour.
Sounds/Words: You are constantly talking and laughing alot now! You try to mimic sounds and faces that we make. I love to hear you laugh; it is so cute! See the video below. We started doing sign language but it is going to be a long time before you can actually learn the gestures.
New discoveries/accomplishments:
-You can roll over now!
-Your feet touch on your jumper and you hang out in there for hours.
-You can hold your bottle by yourself and feed yourself
-You laugh all the time
-You discovered your feet and grab your toes. It keeps you occupied for quite some time. Grammy is trying to teach you how to suck your toes, but no luck yet.
New Friends I've made: Gannon was just born on Sunday, September 2nd so we haven't met him yet but are excited to have him as a new friend. You met alot of new people at Tony's wedding like the Cooks and alot of your Dad's friends (Trip, Joey, Randy, Petey, Danie, Patrick...) Also the Turbedsky's came into town for a few days and you got to play with Caeden and Grayson at the pool and the beach. You also met Aunt Elizabeth this month when she came down and stayed with us for a few days.
Places you went/Adventures: At the beginning of this month, we drove out to New Orleans for Uncle Tony's wedding. You did awesome on the 8 hour drive. We went over there with Gammo & Aunt Em. Gammo watched you during the weekend when I was out on Bourbon Street or at the wedding. You were great at the wedding; The only issue was how hot it was so we ended up taking off your dress and you were fine. We also tried "My Gym" classes and you loved it! We are starting to do the classes once a week. You also had your official Baby Dedication at the church. Month 3 was so much fun! You are definitely starting to get a little personality and I love spending each and every day with you!!
Clothes: You are just outgrowing your newborn and 0-3 items for the most part. They still fit width wise but not in the length. You are now wearing your dresses as tunics with leggings since they are so short.

My 2 Favorite ladies!

Here is D laughling with her Daddy! So precious!

Nole girl from the beginning!

We had a very nice relaxing labor day weekend. On Friday night we hung out at the house while David and Kent started working on making Cornhole boards. Like all projects Dave takes on, it is much more complicated then they expected and they are still working on them 4 days later. The girls just hung out inside and watched a movie. Dr. Melissa thinks she has a free pass to do anything to Delainey since she's a doctor. This time she felt the need to let her suck on her beer bottle. D hated it! (Clearly she doesn't take after her daddy!)

On Saturday we dressed up in our FSU attire for Delainey's first ever game day. She looked precious of course. We went up to the Ale House to have lunch and watch football. Then we headed over to Grammy and Pops to hang out while David had to go into a surgery since he was on call.

Sunday we went to church and lunch then jumped on the boat to head to the Conch House in St. Augustine. Every Sunday is Reggae Sunday with a band and tons of people. It was a lot of fun until David once again got called into a surgery so we had to cut our trip short.

Monday we just cleaned the house and watched movies, then headed over to Gammo & DoDaddys (David's parents) house for dinner. It was a nice relaxing weekend. Today we had D's 4 month check up and I am starting my Timed Exercise workouts. 4 month STATS are coming soon in the next post. Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!
